Mommypundit and I took the kids down to our precinct and just voted. There was a steady flow of people going in to vote but no long waits. It took us about 10 minutes total to cast our votes for President Bush and Kevin Triplett for Congress. The interesting thing I heard while I was there was that as of 10am when we arrived approximately 700 voters out of a total of 2300 in the precinct had already voted. I spoke with a friend of mine who is working the polls for the local Republican Party and they expect 60-70% turnout. Since Virginia is considered to be safely in Bush's column, the heavy turnout may be due to the Congressional race. Hopefully this is a good sign for Kevin Triplett.
